Going Home!

We were so ready to go home the next day. Maddyn did not eat well in the hospital and I got hardly any sleep. I just wanted to go home to my bed, away from the nurses!

Seriously, so incredibly sweet and cute! There is nothing like a newborn baby!

So tiny!

Brooklyn was so happy to have us home, and was so ready to love on the baby!
Jonathan happened to be in town on business that day, and stopped by to see Maddyn :)

The next morning, she had her first bath at home. She wasn't a fan!

Day 2!

The next morning, Natalie and Owen came to see Maddyn!
My parents were visiting a friend in the same hospital, so Brooklyn came to hang out with us for a while. She was so happy that Owen was there. Those two sure love each other!
The world's best dad! Seriously!
Later that morning, Ryan got the older kids to give my parents a break. They came to see the baby. Then they grabbed some dinner.
They got food from Bangkok Grill, our favorite!

Day 1 Visitors!

A couple of hours after Maddyn was born, my parents brought the kids to see her. They were all so excited!
Uncle Sean came, too!

Later that afternoon, Steve and Darlene came.

Our first family picture!
Everyone wanted to get their baby snuggles in and I loved having visitors, but I was so tired. It was nice to have some rest time that evening :) And more time to kiss on this sweet baby girl!

Maddyn Scarlett Woodland

After being dilated to a 3 and 80 % effaced for almost a month with no baby, I went in to be induced on April 20th.Thankfully my parents got home from their mission 2 days before, so they took care of the other kids for us.
We got to the American Fork Hospital at 7am. After getting all checked in and situated, I got my epidural. I noticed after a while that I could still feel my left leg. The nurse rolled me to my side to try to get the medication down my left side. I waited a while longer, and called the nurse back in. It wasn't working. The anesthesiologist came back in and adjusted the epidural to get the medicine running down my left side. Thankfully I told them when I did, becuase just as he was finishing up, I knew it was time for the baby to come.

I told the nurse I would go fast, but she didn't really believe I would go that fast! I called her and told her the baby was coming. She checked me, and said, "She's not coming, she's here!" She rushed to grab the doctor, Dr. Aagard, and after a couple of pushes, Maddyn Scarlett Woodland was born at 10:12 am. She weighed 7lbs. 10 oz and was 19in long. She also had some hair!! I was so excited to have a baby with hair!
We finalized the name Maddyn on the way to the hospital that morning, but still weren't sure about a middle name. Ryan had wanted Lela after his Grandma, but that's his nieces middle name. Then he wanted Carli, but I didn't like the sound of Maddyn Carli. So, I just threw out the name Scarlett, and it fit perfectly!

We fell in love with her instantly! Isn't she just beautiful! A little angel straight from our Heavenly Father!

Welcome Home!!

Grammy and Grampa got home from their mission on April 18th. The kids made a big sign for them and we waited to see them at the airport. Some how I didn't end up with any pictures of them! Oops!
Afterward we all met up at Darin's house.
We are so happy to have them home!

Springtime at Temple Square

It was a beautiful spring day on April 10, so we decided to head to Temple Square. It was just gorgeous!
The bright sun made pictures a little difficult...
Our last family picture before baby comes!

Easter 2015

We decorated eggs for Family Home Evening the Monday before Easter.
On Easter morning we headed up the canyon and stopped at a park to hike around for a little bit. When we got there a bunny ran across the path. Brooklyn said, "Look it's the Easter Bunny!!"
Hayden loves to climb!
Cole doesn't love to climb, but he loves having his picture taken ;)
