Little Friends

I forgot to write about Hayden's friends in the last post. She has some little friends that are all a few weeks apart in age. We get together with them for playgroup once a week and then other times throughout the week. It is so funny when they get together. They follow each other around, tackle each other, crawl over each other, and stare curiously at each other. At the last playgroup one of the girls, Eliza, came up to Hayden and gave her a hug and a kiss. In the process she ended up tackling Hayden and laying on top of her. Hayden was so mad. She hates being cuddled and was not happy to have Eliza hugging her. The moms all just sit and watch chaos ensue. It's pretty funny. The girls have fun and the moms do, too. It is so nice to talk to other adults! Hooray for playgroup! (man, do I sound like a mom or what)

9 Month Check Up

Today was Hayden's 9 month check up. She is nice and healthy, which we are so thankful for. She is 19 lbs and 29 in. That puts her in the 50th percentile. She has 4 teeth now. Two on the top and two on the bottom. We really can't believe that she is 9 months already. Time flies, I guess.

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter. Hayden and I got new church outfits, which is always fun. We have early church so Hayden got her Easter basket in the afternoon. She got a couple of books, some socks and sunglasses. I feel bad because we didn't color eggs with her on her first Easter. We're lame parents, I know. We went to my brothers for dinner and I even cooked the ham. That was a first and I was kind of worried. It turned out to be really easy though. I ended up taking way too many pictures. We tried to get a family picture by setting the timer on our camera but none of them turned out real great. We'll have to try again another time. Anyway, we hope you all had a great Easter, too!

I put Hayden's basket out in the middle of the room and she was so excited when she saw it. She crawled towards it as fast as she could. When she got to it, she immediately pulled everything out. (Taking things out of baskets is one of her favorite things to do). She likes to play with her sunglasses but hates wearing them. It was hard to get a picture with her wearing them, because as soon as they were on, her little hand shot up and pulled them off. She sat and played with all of her Easter stuff for quite a while. It's awesome how easily babies are amused!!

Spring, Where did you go?!

Ok, so the first picture is from last week. Three days last week were in the 50's and yesterday was in the 40's. I was so excited because our huge piles of snow melted and we could actually see the grass. Now move to the second picture. That would be today. Can you believe that? I thought we were done with snow. We are supposed to get 8-12 inches today. Yuck! Sorry for my complaining, I just want spring to come and stay!

Random Pictures

Here are some random pictures of Hayden I thought were too cute to leave off. Ryan took the one of her licking the sliding door. I told him to move her but he thought it was so funny. Can you see her two teeth on the bottom?Where did she get those beautiful blue eyes? I don't know but I love them!!

I love my Daddy and Cousins

Hayden loves playing with her cousins Anika and Celtin. She loves following them around and trying to be big like them. Anika has been in charge of keeping her from tumbling down the stairs. Thanks Anika!

She also loves her Daddy. When Ryan plays the guitar, Hayden goes to find him. Then she sits close by and sings along. It is hilarious but unfortunately she will never do it when I have the video camera out. So much for showing her off.

Standing Up

So now that Hayden has figured out how to use things to pull herself up, she does it all over the house. I find her standing up all over. It is one of her favorite things to do now. It is so funny because she looks so small standing up on her skinny little legs.

Go to Sleep!!

So yesterday I was so tired. I went to sleep late the night before and then Hayden woke up at 5:45 am. 5:45!! I let her play in her crib for a bit. Then I decided I would just get up because Hayden takes a morning nap and I figured I could sleep then too. So, I put her down for her nap at 8:30 like usual. She was up at 9. She slept for 30 minutes! I hadn't even fallen asleep yet. Needless to say, I was not happy. I was laying in bed yelling for her to go back to sleep, but of course she didn't listen. I got up and went into her bedroom to get her out of her crib and this is what I saw. Hayden standing up looking so dang cute, smiling and so proud of herself. (This was the first time she has pulled herself up in her crib). So even though I was tired, I couldn't be frustrated with her anymore. I decided babies are so cute for that very reason, so their parents can't stay mad at them.
