3 Year Old!

This handsome,
Silly,
Fun Dude, turned 3!
He is on a spiderman craze so he woke up to spiderman balloons.
Then we headed over to Grampa's for a motorcycle ride. About 6 months ago, Cole saw a motorcycle and asked for one for his birthday. Trying to be a nice mom, I said maybe. After that, every time Cole saw a motorcycle, he said, "I'm getting a motorcycle for my birthday!!" Sorry, but a ride on a motorcycle is the best he got....
He and Hayden both loved it!
He opened a present from Grammy and Grampa- a spiderman that shoots webs. Later that night we went to the dinosaur museum with Brynli and Brogan. Afterward, we had cake with Grandma and Grandpa Woodland and Cole got an awesome dinosaur that transforms into a car!
Cole pretty much had a week of celebration. On Saturday, he had a swim party at G and G's. Auntie Christy was even in town. Cole got cupcakes with spiderman rings. He didn't want to blow out the candle, I'm not just stealing his thunder!!
He got spoiled with more spiderman and dinosaurs. His 2 favorite things!
Look at this little Diva!! (She stayed in her suit long enough for pictures, then had a melt down and the suit was quickly removed!)
Auntie Christy was nice enough to give Hayden a present, too. Hello Kitty, one of her favorite things. Hayden rocked the leg warmers ;)
We love our 3 year old. He really is so fun! He's a busy boy and such a talker!
Here are some of his favorite things at 3 years old....

toy- choo choo trains and spiderman

The Big Move

Ryan got a new job in Utah, so...
On the 17th of August we had all of our stuff on the moving truck and loaded ourselves in our cars. Then we took off on our big move across the country to Utah.
It was a very happy and very sad day!
It was so very sad, because Illinois was our home. We had been there for 5 years, bought our first place, had 3 kids, and many dear dear friends that we miss so so much!
But change happens....
We are now living in Eagle Mountain and are close to family. We are in a house with 3 levels, plenty of space and a yard. So, we are loving it here.

Goodbye, Illinois... Hello, Utah...

Sporty

Last month Ryan became an old man ;) He is now the big 3-0.
I wanted to throw him a big surprise party, but life was just too crazy. So, we opted for something he probably enjoyed even more than a party, a Cubs game.
The game was almost a no hitter and Ryan was hoping it would happen, but in the bottom of the 7th there was a hit. Still cool though.
The kids spent the game, whining, fighting, playing on phones, eating ice cream, and whining some more. So, we left after the no hitter came to an end!
It was fun to go out and celebrate Ryan!
He is pretty much perfect and I'm thankful he was born!!

The next week, we went to Soldier Field to watch the Bears practice. We went with our friends the McMillans and Cottrells.
It was super hot but a lot fun, and we always have a blast with these guys! No one ended up being too interested in the practice, but we ate lots of stadium food, played, and watched fireworks!
Cole has the greatest facial expressions sometimes!!
We always had so much fun with these friends and definitely miss them!!

Reunion

We all got Woodland shirts for the reunion.
All of the Grandkids
Colin, Isaac, Ruthie, Sara, A.J., Hayden, Grandma Woodland, Owen, Grandpa Woodland, Quinn, Brooklyn, Cole, Sophie
We played Minute to Win It
Cole won and experienced Pop Rocks for the first time for his prize.
Later that day, we headed to the Indianapolis Children's Museum.
The kids loved it!
There was a Hot Wheels exhibit,

Archaeology,
Robots,
Dinosaurs, and much more. It really is a great Museum.
The excitement definitely wore Brooklyn out. Brooklyn and I left the museum and headed to the airport. We flew to Salt Lake to go house hunting, while Ryan, Hayden and Cole stayed to finish out the reunion.
They went to the Indianapolis 500 speedway to watch some trial runs.
When I asked the kids about it later, they said it was really, really loud!!
Hayden and Ruthie at the spray park
There was also lots of playing and hanging out.
It was a great reunion and lots of fun to be together!
