Preschool Olympics

 Cole had one day of preschool left after his graduation and they had Olympics. They did sack races, an obstacle course, bubbles, and other fun games! Grammy and I were able to help out with the fun!

 Brooklyn was having fun getting into everything.

We ended the fun with Popsicles!

Kindergarten Graduation!!

 Hayden graduated from Kindergarten at the end of May. I can't believe how big she is getting.

 All of the Kindergartners put on a program. Grammy and Grandma Woodland were able to come. The kids sang songs and told jokes. Hayden did a great job telling the joke for her class and I was so proud of her for being brave enough to do it! Her joke was "Why did the elephant take a ladder to school? Because he wanted to go to High School!" Hilarious, right? ;)

After the program, Hayden's class had a graduation ceremony. Mrs. Peterson told what each of the kids said they want to be when they grow up. Hayden wants to be a professional singer! 

Hayden has loved Kindergarten so much and learned a lot. Half way through the year she was at a 1st grade reading level and she loves math! 

Hayden was very emotional. I think she was sad to say goodbye to Mrs. Peterson and all of the friends from her class. Because she was being so emotional, she refused to have her picture taken with Mrs. Peterson or any of her friends after the graduation. I tried and she screamed and cried and would not do it. Later that day, Hayden said "Mom, you should have made me!! Now I don't have a picture with Mrs. Peterson!!" Silly girl. There were still 3 days of school left after the graduation. Weird, I know. So we were able to get her picture with her teacher another day. 

It was so fun for me to volunteer in her class during centers every Tuesday morning and I got to help at field day (it was wet and freezing). Now she's ready for 1st grade and a new school. She got accepted into a Chinese Immersion program at another school, and she is so excited!!

Hayden picked Kneaders for her graduation lunch. Then Grammy, Hayden and I went to get a mani/pedi at the Spa (aka a beauty school). Hayden loved it. Afterward she kept telling people she got her nails done at the spa! She got to have a sleepover at Grammy and Grampa's that night. She definitely is one loved little girl. We love her and are so proud of the good girl she is!

Preschool Graduate

Cole graduated from Preschool at the end of May. 

 They had a little performance and sang songs for all of the visitors.

 Cole's teacher was Ms. Mallory. She did such a great job and we are excited for Cole to go to her again next year.

 Cole picked Chuck-a-Rama for his celebration lunch.

 My kids are so blessed to have so many people who love them. Both Grammy and Grandma Woodland were able to come to Cole's performance and lunch.

 We love our sweet Cole baby. He is such a sweet, fun, hilarious little boy. We especially love that he starts all of his jokes with "knock knock', even if they aren't knock knock jokes!!

We have had a struggle potty training this boy. He will be fine for a week and then have 3 accidents in a row.  

On his graduation day, he hadn't had an accident for 2 weeks straight so we let him pick out a new bike. We got his old bike for free, and it served him well for over a year, but it was getting a little pathetic. Cole is so excited to have a super fast racer bike now!

St. Patty's Day

 St. Patrick's day was on Sunday this year, so we wore our green for church. Ryan wore a green tie. I've noticed that I've been in a lot of pictures and there aren't so many with Ryan in them. How did that happen. I'll be sure to catch him more often from now on!!

The Leprechauns left the kids jars of skittles and marshmallows and a four leaf clover glow stick necklace.

And we had the traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner. Adam and Shylo started us on this tradition 4 years ago, and it's been so fun.

We had a very fun and lucky St. Patty's Day!

Dutch Days

 We went to Thanksgiving Point during their Dutch Days. We always love going to Thanksgiving Point, but this day was cold, rainy and wet. But we made the best of it.

 We ate lots of yummy Dutch treats Ryan remembers from his mission. He said they were pretty close to the real thing. The kids got to make tulip headbands and paper windmills.

Of course, their favorite part was rolling down the huge hill.

Someday we need to visit Holland and check out the real Dutch life!

Busy Brooklyn

 Brooklyn has been super busy over the past few months. Here's what she's been up to-

Ski Bunnies

Ryan and Jeffrey took Hayden and Cole on their first skiing adventure a few months ago. They went up to Sundance. Ryan and I thought the kids would get cold and tired fast. We expected them to be done in a couple hours at most. But, they skied  ALL DAY, and didn't want to leave when it was time to go.  Ryan and Jeffrey tied a rope around the kids to help teach them. Ryan was really impressed with how well they did. They even advanced beyond the Bunny Hill and took the lift. I foresee lots of skiing with Daddy next season!
