Baby's 1st Photo

I had a little pregnancy scare on Thursday morning. I ended having to go to the emergency room for an ultrasound and to be checked by my doctor. Everything is ok. My doctor just put me on bedrest for a few days but then I should be fine.

Having the ultrasound was what I needed. It was so great to actually see that there is a baby in me. The technician couldn't believe how active the baby is. It was moving it's arms and legs all over. We got this very cute picture! The baby is measuring 8 days bigger than it should be. I was hoping that would push up my due date. No luck. Babies have to measure 14 days bigger to change the due date. Dang it. No info on the sex yet, I asked.

Anyway, I just wanted to share the baby's first picture.

Baby #2

That's right, we are expecting our second baby. I'm only 10 weeks along so we have a while to wait but we are super excited. I am hoping for a boy but Ryan thinks it's probably a girl. The other day Ryan asked Hayden if she is going to get a puppy and she said "No". Then he asked her if she is going to get a little brother and she said "No". Then he asked her if she was going to get a little sister and she got a huge smile on her face and started clapping. It was so funny. We'll find out if we have a psychic little girl on our hands.
I haven't been feeling great and it's been harder than last time since I have Hayden to take care of. Hayden has been so good though. If I need to lay down, she'll watch tv or play by herself. And Ryan is amazing. He works all day, cleans, cooks, and takes care of me and Hayden. He's been so great!
Anyway, that's our news!

It's Been a While

I have been a major blogging slacker the last few weeks. Things have been crazy here. Here's an update of our goings on (I totally understand if you don't make it to the end).....

A couple of weeks ago I put Hayden down for a nap. She was quiet for a while and I thought she was asleep. Then I thought I heard something and I went to check on her. She was holding up her diaper and saying "uh-oh". Yeah, she had completely undressed, including her diaper, and peed all over her crib. I didn't even know she could take her pants off and there she is naked and soaked. I had to clean her up, wipe down her mattress, and change her clothes and bedding. I was so mad. Then I put her back down and called Ryan. Then I was a little less mad. Then I called my mom and by the end of that conversation, I was laughing hysterically! Oh man, the joys of motherhood.

We had a visit from Ryan's parents. We went shopping and ate lots of good food. Hayden had fun playing with them and loved all of the extra attention. We forgot to take any pictures, sorry.

Motorola announced that they were laying off 3000 people from Ryan's section. So, we have been stressed over all of that. He went to work last week and people were getting tapped on the shoulder and being laid off. Poor Ryan had to sit there all day watching and waiting to see if he would be let go. Finally at the end of the day, Ryan got an email basically saying if you're getting this email you still have a job. So, thankfully we are still okay, for now.

Then this week we all had the stomach flu. Yuck! It was horrible. Hayden was sick a little on Sunday. Then Ryan and I woke up feeling horrible on Monday. We had to send Hayden to my brother's because we just could not take care of her. After 12 hours of not being able to keep anything down, my friend drove me to the emergency room. Ryan was too sick to take me. I got 3 bags of fluids and then came home and crashed. We are feeling a lot better now and spent the day scrubbing the house. Did you know the stomach flu germs can live on things for 4 weeks? Nasty!!!

Anyway, that's what we've been up to. Sorry this is such a long boring post.

Christmas Happenings

We had an awesome Christmas week. On Christmas Eve we went to our friend's, the Goates, for dinner. There was great food. The kids played and the adults visited. It was so fun.

While we were gone, the Elves had dropped off our new Christmas Eve pajamas.

Christmas morning was very fun! Hayden was so excited to open presents. She loved unwrapping them. Then she wanted them completely unpackaged right then so she could play with it. She would play with that toy until it was her turn again. It was so fun watching her excitement! Later in the day we went to my Bro's house and had dinner and played Mexican Train.

The day after Christmas we went to the Kohl's Children's Museum with our friends, the McMillans. They have a daughter Hayden's age and they both had so much fun. After about 1 1/2 hours we were all exhausted and starving, but it was such a fun day.

Ryan had the whole week off so we really enjoyed being together. It was such an awesome Christmas and I realized again how blessed our little family is.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and enjoy the beginning of 2009!

Happy Anniversary!

Ryan had to go to China again. He left on the 6th and just got home last night. So, I've been without a computer for a while. We're so glad to have Ryan home. I'm starting to get bugged by the frequency of his trips. It's job security though, right? That's what I keep telling myself at least.

Today is our anniversary. We have been married for 4 years. It seems so crazy that it's been that long. They've been 4 great years. We've had a lot of fun and enjoyed so much together and are still excited to be together forever!

We got married at 8 in the morning in the middle of December. It was so incredibly cold. My nose is red in every picture and we just look cold. So sad. But here are a couple pictures from that day

Happy Belated Thanksgiving

This post is a little late but we had such a great Thanksgiving and have so so so much to be grateful for. Ryan's sister Camille came to visit and we ate at my Bro's house. I cooked the turkey for the first time this year. It turned out okay but my gravy was not so good. Sorry guys.It was a fun day full of food, games and watching "Hancock."

I love holidays. It is so great to just relax. I just realized that Hayden isn't in any of the pictures I took. She was there, I promise.

We went out shopping on Black Friday. We're not really dedicated shoppers, though. We left the house about 8 so we still got to sleep in a bit.

Hayden had a great time with Camille here. She loves all of the extra attention and did her best to keep Camille busy.
We hope you all had an awesome Thanksgiving too!
