So we had a special conference for church today. Elder Scott was in town and decided to come visit our stake. It was so awesome to have an apostle here to speak directly to us. He talked about how we do so many good things that sometimes we forget about the essential things. He said to right a list of our priorities and then make sure we get those things done. Then if we have time left over to do other good things. He also talked about how important it is to teach our children good values and demonstrated by calling up two teenage girls and asking them questions about what their families do in regards to the gospel. Those poor girls. They had no idea he was going to call them up. If it had been me, I probably would have thrown up. Anyway, it was really great and so wonderful to hear the testimony of an Apostle of God and I am so thankful I had this experience. Also, it made me think of my parents and all their work in teaching me good things. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Yeah, I would hate to be called up too! That reminds me of my old stake conferences where they had extra time and would call up random teenagers to come bear their testimonies. Yuck.
That's cool that Elder Scott was there!
What a great experience! It's not every day an apostle of the Lord can be in your presence. That's awesome! Good thing you went to church that day huh :)
